Christian Johnson

Senior Deputy Director, Coalition Operations

Christian Johnson is the Deputy Director of the Land & Liberty Coalition, overseeing operations in the program’s five heartland states: Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Before assuming this role, he served as the program’s National Field Manager and the Illinois Field Director.

Christian has an extensive background in the renewable energy sector, beginning his career in 2011 as an installer for a Southern California-based commercial solar developer. Through dedication and hard work, he gained experience in project drafting, design, and monitoring, eventually rising to the position of Operations and Maintenance Director.

Christian is an alumnus of Pepperdine University’s Graziadio Business School, where he earned his MBA in 2020. Upon completing his degree, he decided to transition from the development side of the industry to focus on his passion for education and advocacy work. Over the past several years, he has leveraged his business experience to help grow the Land & Liberty Coalition by implementing new tools and strategies.
