March 6, 2023 — LANSING, Mich. — The Land & Liberty Coalition® (L&LC), an initiative of the Conservative Energy Network, announced today the elevation of Christian Johnson to the new role of National Field Manager. This newly created position will oversee the organization’s field operations and replaces the former Deputy Director role.
L&LC is a state-based group of local citizens, who support utility-scale renewable energy development. The coalition consists of farmers, landowners, and key stakeholders who are concerned about protecting their private property rights, developing their communities, and being good stewards of the land.
“Working with Christian, I have witnessed his ability to adapt to changing environments, execute metrics-informed decisions, and provide leadership to his colleagues – qualities that make him the right fit to oversee our field operations.” said Bradley Pischea, director of L&LC.
Johnson started as a Field Representative for Indiana L&LC in October 2020 before taking the reins as the Illinois L&LC Field Director in March 2021.
“I have had the honor of working in local communities and helping farmers and landowners stand up for their private property rights,” said Johnson. “I’ve seen firsthand the economic benefit that renewable energy brings to our rural communities, and I look forward to taking my experience and sharing best practices across the L&LC organization.”
Prior to L&LC, Johnson worked at a Southern California-based engineering, procurement and construction company as a project designer and operations and maintenance manager. His enthusiasm for the renewable energy industry motivated him to educate others and pursue a role in energy advocacy.
