August 5, 2021 – LANSING, Mich. – Mark Pischea, president and CEO of the Conservative Energy Network (CEN), a coalition of 21 state-based conservative clean energy organizations, today released the following statement in response to CEN signing onto a letter urging Congress to include targeted carbon capture provisions in its infrastructure package:
“CEN supports policies that advance our transition to a clean energy future and secure America’s global economic leadership. It is imperative that Congress encourages carbon capture policies that will keep America’s energy and manufacturing industries as clean and efficient as possible. In signing this letter, we stand with nearly 170 companies, energy leaders, and conservation groups at the national, state and local levels in support of smart investments in carbon capture technology.”
CEN believes that infrastructure reform should be centered on the creation of more secure, resilient, and efficient technologies and grid systems that support economic development. CEN seeks to educate policymakers and the public about solutions that prioritize free-market innovation and increased competition.
